Winter 2025: Systematic Theology

7:00 - 9:00 PM on Tuesdays, January 21 - March 18 (no class on Feb 18). | If you have trouble completing payment on this form, please contact Lindsey De Kruif, Synod Program Coordinator at programcoordinator@albanysynod.org.

Course Description:
Christians are called to love God with their hearts and their minds. These go together, and we cannot neglect either one or the other.
This course helps us to grow in our ability to love God with our minds. Beginning with Creation to the Final Consummation and everything in between, this course surveys the major doctrines in Christian theology. In doing so, we learn from the long history of Christian theology, with a particular emphasis on the Reformed tradition,
to connect the faith of the church to the lived experience of the church today.

This course is open to potential preaching elders, commissioned pastors, and all who wish to explore the scriptures.

Course Instructor: Rev. Matthew van Maastricht, pastor of the Altamont and Helderberg Reformed Churches, Adjunct instructor at New Brunswick Theological Seminary and Fellow of the Reformed Church Center.

Cost: $300. Payment due by January 10, 2025.
